Thank you. Mon, 10 Jul 2017 15:29:25 +0000 0 Coach Station Bag Restoration Sat, 31 Dec 2016 05:01:24 +0000 I recently purchased an early 90’s Station bag on ebay and decided to give it a bath and condition it after reading up on restorations. It soaked for about an hour in dawn dish soap and then I let it dry for 48 hours (after stuffing it with paper towels). I then used apple’s leather conditioner on it after it was mostly dry. Unfortunately, it still seems a little dry – especially on the corners – but nothing extreme. I was hoping it would be softer! Any tips for conditioning it further?

Project: Coach Recovered Pieces Sun, 27 Nov 2016 19:39:18 +0000 Hello Mrs. Nemetz!
I just want to start by saying you’ve inspired me to start collecting coach. I’ve been inquiring pieces from 1994-2003 with serial numbers in a X#X- ####. I just feel an emotional connection to the bags, unlike most contemporary designers they embrace the characteristics, “imperfections,” of leather and I think that’s the whole point of leather. So far I’ve acquired 2 Willis bags(9927), 3 Patricia bags(9951), 1 city bag(9790), 1 Lula bag(9952) and 1 Helen Duffle(9085). Do you offer respiration of bags? Some of my personal pieces I carry; I’d love to have one restored by you! Eventually I want to start resorting and customizing my collected pieces to create one-of-a-kind creations. Maybe we can partner in the future for my creations! Please let me know and keep up with your beautiful practice!

Worth restoring? Sat, 09 Jan 2016 21:06:06 +0000 Hi Debi:
I got your business card from the antique store in Livingston when I purchased a restored Coach bag.  I have an early 1990s black small duffle that has significant wear.  The strap is in very bad shape (worn through in many places), as is the trim on top and bottom.  There are 2 spots on the side near the top that are wearing pretty thin too.  It was missing a rivet when I bought it (which is probably why I could afford it–I used my college graduation money!!).  I wonder if it’s too far gone to be restored and what the cost of this kind of project would be.  I can send you photos or bring it to the store someday.  I live in Bozeman.  Thanks for you reply and Happy New Year!  Shelly Bunde
